Daughter

I have loved your mother for a very long time
Long before I knew you were around
I wasn't there when you were born
I didn't get to see you off to school
I wasn't there to protect you that time
They came and took you from your mum
I didn't know of your pain
You had to endure for such a long time

Since I've known you
I've quickly become to love you
I feel you have always been mine
That I had conceived you in an earlier time
You really are my daughter
And I can feel all of your pain
It hurts me so
That I am still unable
To take all that pain away

There will come a time I know
When all that pain will go
The time will come
When you, your mum and I
Will be together for ever more
And as in the fairy tails
We will live happily ever after.
